Using the tutorials from Pinkstylist we are here to give you the reasons why dressing up as the Joker is the way to go for this year’s Halloween Party!
“And.. Here.. We.. Go!”
Easy Halloween make-up
One of the best things about these Joker make-up tutorials is that you don’t need a bachelor’s degree in arts at all. Everybody remembers Heath Ledgers make-up from the Dark Knight movie, right? He even applied his own make-up for the movie because he wanted to make it look like the Joker. So actually all you need is green hair spray, black and white face paint and some red lipstick and you’re good to go. Oh, and our The Joker™ suit obviously.
Easiest make-up tutorials
Every Joker make-up tutorial uses these basic components and when you’ve got the basics, there are many ways to customize your version of the Clown Prince of Crime. We’ve listed to the most popular three of them, each of them portrays one of the most popular make-up versions of the Joker. The talented Pinkstylist has created tutorials over an abundance of Joker-make up ideas, you can watch them if you need any more help. For now, let’s start with the easiest Halloween make-up tutorial of them all.
It doesn’t get much easier than Halloween make-up tutorials about Heath Ledger’s award-winning portrayal of the Joker. This version requires very little make-up skills as it needs to look as sloppy as possible. Starting with the dark green hair, it’s important not to go mental with the stuff, you’re looking for a gross and unfinished look so less is more. To create the scars, it’s best to use some Vaseline or wax to create the grooves which indicate the scars.
We really encourage it to go the extra mile for your Halloween make-up to apply fake scars, mostly because we don’t recommend cutting yourself to get real scars, but more importantly because it looks amazing. The last and easiest part is to apply the black face paint around your eyes, white on your face and red lipstick on your lips and scars. Again, this shouldn’t look professionally; it’s just important to put a smile on that face!
Leaving out the scars and trading them for tattoo’s, Jared Leto’s version gives an awesome younger feel to the Joker. Jared’s version is much like other Joker make-up tutorials only requiring a bit more attention to detail. Suiting up as the Mob-boss of Gotham, you can leave out the wax or Vaseline and just steal a tiny paint brush and some black eye-shadow from your girlfriend. Unlike Heath Ledgers Joker, this version of ‘Mistah J’ has a sexy, energetic, clean-cut look to him so this Joker make-up tutorial does require a bit more care. You can follow the steps we mentioned earlier, only replacing the ‘scar-part’ with applying the tattoos. The tattoos are not hard to replicate and if you want to, you can also easily buy them online.
The Comical Clown
Last but definitely not least is the comic book version of the Joker. Using an amazing prosthetic chin, Pinkstylist shows us why this creepy comic book version of the Joker is much more than just a practical joke. Being the most ambitious Joker make-up tutorial on this list, it requires a bit more components than the last two make-up tutorials.
Starting with that unnerving chin, you can easily buy it online along with the other required components like prosthetic Adhesive and a make-up flash pallet, so you will easily have everything you need for this Joker make-up tutorial. Again, this tutorial isn’t very hard, but we do recommend watching the tutorial from Pinkstylist as it helps you apply the prosthetic and painting that hysterical smile. Subsequently you can continue by following the other steps that were mentioned earlier and keep following that amazing Halloween make-up tutorial to show you the ropes.
